Drill and Blast Engineer – Bowen Basin
Position Overview
We are seeking a Drill and Blast Engineer with at least 5 years of open-cut experience, including extensive drill and blast experience, for a short-term project role based in Brisbane. The ideal applicant must thrive in a high-paced environment with a focus on attention to detail and an overarching commitment to safety. Experience with through-seam blasting and noise- or vibration-sensitive areas would be considered advantageous.

What you’ll be doing may include
- Producing drill plans and loading plans using Vulcan, BlastLogic and ViewShot
- Producing mine schedules using Spry and Excel
- Blast concept design and reconciliation
- Data management
- Improvement projects
Key Requirements
- Tertiary qualification and experience in Mining Engineering
- Strong mine design and scheduling skills
- Proficiency with mining software: Spry, Vulcan, Deswik, BlastLogic and ViewShot
- Excellent communication, teamwork and time management
- Full working rights in Australia
